The Mighty Children's Museum is best experienced for children 8 years old and under, however older children can also come! The museum only asks that adults bringing older children keep an eye on their behavior so that all ages have an enjoyable visit.

Check out the Chillicothe and Ross County Public Libraries for Museum Memberships that can be checked out FOR FREE! These memberships can be checked out just as you would a book!

The Mighty Children's Museum is fully ADA accessible except for the party room upstairs. Accommodations can be made.


Family Memberships are available for purchase. Memberships are $150 for two adults and all children in the household, or all grandchildren. Additional adults (up to three) can be added to memberships for an additional $30/person.

Memberships are for a full calendar year!

Mighty Members have access to Members Only events and opportunities as well as discounts on party rentals and events.

Parking

Street parking along 4th Street is free all day but there is a 2 hours limit. There is a metered city parking lot at the corner of Paint Street and 4th Street. Parking on Paint Street south of 4th is free all day but please keep in mind again it's limited to 2 hours. Please plan accordingly. Please click here for a map of downtown Chillicothe.


Infant Care

Diaper changing tables are available in both men's and women's restrooms. Seating throughout the museum allows for mothers to nurse comfortably.


Coats

There are a few coat hooks located inside the entrance available at a first-come first-serve basis. Please be advised that valuables should not be left in this area and the Museum is not responsible for lost or stolen items.


Snow Policy

The museum will not open or will close early if the city or county declares a level II or higher snow emergency. The museum will not open at 10:00 AM on days when the Chillicothe City School District cancels classes for the day due to the weather. Exception: museum may open in the afternoon if the weather problems are abated enough for community members to travel safely. School visits are automatically cancelled on days when the school’s local system cancels classes due to inclement weather. For the latest up to date info please refer to our Facebook page for closures and delayed openings. 


Food and Beverages

The designated eating area includes upstairs in the mezzanine. Food and drinks should only be consumed in this area (with the exception of water) and should never be left unattended due to allergies. You are also welcome to leave the facility for lunch. We do offer same day re-entry. For a list of local downtown restaurants, visit the Ross-Chillicothe Visitors Bureau.


Language and Behavior

Swearing and offensive language are not permitted in the Museum. Any behavior that is disruptive or dangerous to any visitor will result in removal from Museum property. Smoking, vaping, firearms or weapons of any kind are strictly forbidden on Museum property (indoor and outdoor).


Strollers

There is no stroller parking in the Museum. Please consider leaving your stroller at home or using a small umbrella-style stroller. If a stroller is necessary, please leave it parked near the front desk/coat hooks. The museum is not responsible for any property left unattended - please leave any valuables at home.


Unaccompanied Adults

For the safety of our guests, all single adults who visit the Museum without children will be asked to show identification. 


Wifi Policy

The Museum does not offer public access to our Wi-Fi. The museum requires adults to supervise their children's behavior at all times and encourages them to engage in imagination and play.
